Streets

Oak Lawn’s street inventory contains 183.54 miles of public roadways. The Village is responsible for maintaining these roadways which include routine maintenance (i.e. pothole patching) or roadway restoration due to water main breaks. Snow removal, street sweeping, street lighting and traffic signs are only a few examples of the varied functions. The Street Division plays an integral part in keeping our Village appearance at its highest standards.

To report any problem with the street lights or traffic signals in Oak Lawn, call The Department of Public Works immediately at 708-499-7756. After regular business hours, please call the non-emergency Police Department at 708-422-8292.
