The Oak Lawn Arts Commission is excited to announce that the giant fiberglass acorns been cast and delivered to Oak Lawn and are ready to paint!  Volunteers are kicking off the project with a Painting Event on Monday, June 20th from 6-8 pm in the Village Hall parking lot.  Artists will have two weeks to complete their designs and may come and go as their schedules allow.

All residents are invited to come out and see the acorns be painted.  Each will be unique and artistic.  Volunteer artists and acorn sponsors have been paired together.  Interested volunteers can call Carmie at (708) 499-7740.

The painted acorns will be displayed as an exhibit entitled “Acorns on Parade” on the Village Green for two weeks after the July 4th holiday.  Please be sure to check out the exhibit!

The Oak Lawn Arts Commission is very excited to kick off their first public arts project which will “sow the seeds of the arts in Oak Lawn” for the future!
