All of the street lights on the residential roads have been converted to LED; (2,826).  This project was completed over a four year period.  The new lights installed are Philips/Lumec LED fixtures.  The Village cost for this project was $1,275,138.80.  Of this amount, the Village received Energy Efficiency Grants through DCEO for each year during the project.  The Village also received grant monies from the Illinois Clean Energy program once they began acknowledging the project as qualifying for these additional monies. The grants varied each year due to incentives offered through the program.  The total monies paid to the Village from DCEO and Illinois Clean Energy were in excess of $500,000.00.
