With the State of Illinois moving into Phase 4 on Friday, June 26, 2020, the Village reopening will move to the second stage of our reopening plan effective June 29, 2020.

The second stage will include:

  • All employees and visitors will be required to wear masks when entering any Village owned building and observe social distancing whenever possible.
  • Public meetings and social events are limited to the lesser of 50 guests or 50% of overall room capacity.
  • Masks are required and social distancing is observed whenever possible.  This includes Board of Trustee meetings and all other public meetings.
  • All Departments of Village Hall will be open, including the second floor and basement.

Remembering Oak Lawn’s First Lady

Peggy Kolb, 1977

The Village of Oak Lawn sends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of former Oak Lawn First Lady Peggy Kolb, who passed away Sunday morning. Peggy and Ernie Kolb were Oak Lawn's First Family for the 26 years Ernie served as Mayor. 

Patricia "Peggy" Kolb, nee Carr was the beloved wife of the late Oak Lawn Mayor Ernest “Ernie” Kolb; Loving mother of Gayle Kolb, Gary (Cathy) Kolb, late Glenn, and Patti (John) Ernst; Proud grandma of Jennifer, Jason, Corinne, Kathryn, and John; great-grandma of Jacob; Dear sister of the late Joan (late Frank) Bulger and late Joyce (Dave) McCabe; Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Curley Funeral Home, 6116 W. 111th Street.
