OLHMS Musicians Triumph Again!

On Saturday, November 14, 2015, the Illinois Music Educators Association Junior/Senior High Division held its annual District I Jazz Music Festival at Downers Grove North High School in Downers Grove, IL. The festival involved only 40 students selected from more than 60 schools throughout the southwestern metropolitan Chicago area.  The jazz festival band was conducted by renowned jazz educator Mr. Glenn Williams.

Appearing in concert with this very select jazz festival band were two OLHMS Band members, Dhati Ash and Cesar Vazquez  This is a very prestigious honor (hundreds of students tried out for the festival band) and we are very proud of these musicians.  We salute their accomplishment!

Contributed by:  D123 Band Booster Association and Band Directors Mrs. Beth Lyons and Mr. John Kehl
