With the State of Illinois moving into Phase 4 on Friday, June 26, 2020, the Village reopening will move to the second stage of our reopening plan effective June 29, 2020.

The second stage will include:

  • All employees and visitors will be required to wear masks when entering any Village owned building and observe social distancing whenever possible.
  • Public meetings and social events are limited to the lesser of 50 guests or 50% of overall room capacity.
  • Masks are required and social distancing is observed whenever possible.  This includes Board of Trustee meetings and all other public meetings.
  • All Departments of Village Hall will be open, including the second floor and basement.

The Office of Finance & Administrative Services' primary responsibilities are to safeguard the Village’s assets and fairly present its financial condition.  To that end, this office manages the cash and investment portfolio, performs all financial recordkeeping functions, compiles the annual operating budget and issues the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report detailing the Village’s operating results.  This Office also includes the IT Department which provides computerization and management of information for all Village departments.

This office consists of ten full time employees.  Brian Hanigan, the Director of the department is a Certified Public Accountant with over 30 years of accounting experience.  Joanne Suczynski, the Budget Director has over 28 years of accounting experience.

The goal of this office is to ensure that Village’s fiscal resources are utilized in an efficient and effective manner.  This goal must always be consistent with the stated policy choices of the executive and legislative branches of Village government.  To achieve this goal, this office provides broad-based support and assistance to other departments to facilitate the completion of their public duties.

The objectives of this office are to provide timely services to all the residents and departments within the Village; to administer the financial affairs of the Village prudently; to manage the treasury functions of the Village in an efficient and effective manner; and to provide timely financial information to the Village Manager, the Village’s Department Heads and the President and Board of Trustees.  In addition to the above the Information Technology Department (IT) is responsible for security and stability of the Village’s technology infrastructure, assesses and coordinates computer-training needs for the Village and evaluates upcoming technology issues and plans, purchase and implements new information systems for all departments.
