2020 Census

Post Date:03/11/2020 11:21 AM

The results of the 2020 Census provides critical data that lawmakers, business owners, teachers, and many others use to provide daily services, products, and support for you and our community. Every year billions of dollars in federal funding goes to hospitals, fire and police departments, schools, roads and other resources based on Census data. This funding shapes many different aspects of every community in the U.S., no matter the size or location. Every house counts!

Beginning March 12th through March 20th, you should be receiving the Census form which is quick and easy to complete. You may complete the forms on-line, by phone or on paper. Census enumerators will start going door to door on May 13th to reach households that have not responded.

Please make sure to respond and be counted by the end of the Census on August 14, 2020 (extended).

The Census is important for the Village of Oak Lawn and the State of Illinois. Please take a few moments to participate.  For more information,
