Elected Officials
Mayor Terry Vorderer is a lifelong resident of Oak Lawn, a decorated Vietnam War veteran, a former Trustee of District 4, and a proud retired Oak Lawn police officer of 34 years. He is married to Linda, a talented local artist, and they have two children and four grandchildren. Throughout his years, Mayor Vorderer has served our community as an Oak Lawn Park Commissioner, Member of Oak Lawn VFW, American Legion, Benevolent Order of Oak Lawn Elks, Lions Club, St. Germaine Holy Name, and Knights of Columbus. He has also advocated and served as commander for Disabled American Veterans.
Mayor Vorderer continues to maintain strong Village services, making Oak Lawn a desirable community to raise a family in. His primary goal is maintaining an affordable and safe community. Mayor Vorderer has served our Village with integrity, commitment, and love of the Oak Lawn community.
Trustee Tim Desmond has been an Oak Lawn resident for over 30 years. He has served as District 1 Trustee since 2013.
Tim runs a local business, Cork and Bean, with his wife, Eileen. Tim’s primary goal is to serve our community with honesty and integrity so that families can live in a financially stable, vibrant, and safe community. Tim is married to Eileen and raising six children.

Elected to the Village Board: 2005
Family Information: Married to Theresa and father of Vincent, Matthew, Zachary and John David
Other Civic Involvement: Board member of the Central Illinois Food Bank, 2001 to 2003; Board Member of the St. Gerald's Holy Name Society; Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Member; Raiders Social Athletic Club Member.
Primary goal as an elected official: I consider it an honor to be a trustee of the Village of Oak Lawn. I will act with honesty and integrity to meet and exceed the expectations of district 2 and the residents of Oak Lawn.

Trustee Paul Mallo has lived in Oak Lawn for over 25 years with his wife Pam and their children.
He has served as the Trustee of District 3 since 2019. Paul has worked with the Special Rec Department of the Oak Lawn Park District and Oak Lawn Baseball & Softball for many years.
Trustee Mallo works hard to bring new businesses to Oak Lawn and enjoys working closely with his constituents and the Village board to make Oak Lawn an even more amazing place to live.

James, “Jamie”, Pembroke has been a resident of Oak Lawn for 30 plus years along with his wife Jean. They have two children and a grandson. Trustee Pembroke retired from a career in teaching after 43 years in 2021. He spent the last 21 years teaching at Evergreen Park Community High School. While at EPCHS, Trustee Pembroke was a member of the math department and the Education Association’s contract representative for 16 years. Additional duties at EPCHS included math coach, alumni sponsor, and co-director of the foundation.
Trustee Pembroke’s main focus of his term as Trustee will be to keep the community safe and secure. His goals are keeping our neighborhood an excellent place to raise a family while making sure our village is fiscally responsible. It is very important to promote the financial stability of Oak Lawn while keeping the costs to our residents as affordable as possible.

William "Bud" Stalker has been a resident of the Village of Oak Lawn for over 35 years along with his wife, Mary Ellen. They have five children and eight grandchildren. Trustee Stalker is an expert witness and has retired from Commonwealth Edison and Divane Bros. Electric Contractors. He is an active member of St. Linus Parish, he is a past Secretary/Treasurer of the Illinois Chapter of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors, Chicago Electrical Commission, and the National Electric Code Panels 9 and 14.

Ralph Soch has lived in District 6 for 50 years. He has (2) children, Morgan and Ryan. Ralph has worked for Mars/Wrigley for 36 years and is a Capital Purchasing Manager. He is a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria parish. He is a graduate of St. Catherine's and is the current President of St. Catherine's Men's Club and former treasurer. He is also a past Grand Knight of Knight's of Columbus Council #3582 Our Lady of Fatima in Oak Lawn.
