Parkway Tree Inspection/ Trimming/ Removal

Inspection:

The Forestry division receives a high volume of requests for inspection of parkway trees. Once a request is logged, a certified arborist will inspect the parkway tree(s) and leave a door hanger and advise or schedule the next steps that should be taken to care for the tree.

Trimming and removal actions would be performed only by the Village or Village contractor. The Village trims the parkway trees on a request basis and a cyclical rotation. Please call the Department of Public Works Forestry Division to log a request of inspection and possible trimming for your parkway tree at (708) 499-7756.

If a parkway tree dies, the village will remove it, grind out the stump and place soil.

Currently the Forestry Division has a high volume of calls and most work is about 12-14 months out. We appreciate your patience for this service.

Disease & Pest Diagnosis:

If you are curious about a sickness that a tree may have, the Village will inspect and advise. The Village does not spray pesticides on parkway trees. If you want more information, please contact the Public Works, Forestry Division at (708) 499-7756.
