Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) |
In 2010 the Village of Oak Lawn positively identified the invasive pest the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) within the Village limits. Approximately 1,600 parkway trees are at risk. An estimated 3,200 are at risk on private property.
An educational display is available at the Village Hall, 9446 Raymond Ave. Also for a limited time, you can visit 11001 Keating to see the larvae damage in the trunk that we left standing for educational purposes. The bark was removed to show the amount of activity.
