March 2008: The Village Green Team holds first meeting and it is a Success! Appointed by Mayor Heilmann, Trustee Alex Olejniczak led a spirited group of Village associates and citizens in the first meeting of this initiative. Topics discussed included recycling, energy efficiency, LEED certification for future buildings, fleet efficiency, purchasing policies by the Village, and sustainability. Citizens are encouraged to voice your interest and get involved!
