OFFICIAL NOTICE STREETS DIVISION / STREET SWEEPING is to begin on Monday, October 16, 2017.  The process will take two weeks the first time out and residents are asked to have their vehicles off the streets on the day designated for their area.This will ensure that the streets are swept without the hindrance of parked cars.

Under the direction of the Training / Safety Bureau Chief, training in the Oak Lawn Fire & Rescue Department is accomplished in accordance with all standards as set forth by the following State & Federal Agencies: Office of the State Fire Marshal, Illinois Department of Labor, National Fire Protection Agency, Occupational Safety & Health Administration, Illinois Department of Public Health and the Insurance Services Organization.

Personnel train on a regularly scheduled basis on the following topics:

  • Fire Suppression
  • Emergency Medical Services
  • Hazardous Materials
  • Technical Rescue
