The Village of Oak Lawn hosts it's 5th annual Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, October 20th from 10:00am - 4:00pm. This is a terrific event for the whole family to come out and enjoy all the activities on The Village Green. Arrive early and pick out your favorite pumpkin in the pumpkin patch. There will be rows and rows of pumpkins for sale, all of different shapes and sizes. Take an actual hay ride through the village green or stop over by the gazebo and try some apple bobbing. Children can enjoy a ride on the ponies or "milk the cow". Children activities this year will include the pumpkin moon jump, spinning pumpkin ride, 90' fun slide and the "Big Witch" carnival ride.
Apple Cider,Hot Chocolate and Coffee, Pumpkin Pie, Taffy Apples, and Cookies will be sold inside "The Gazebo" by Girl Scout Troop #60645. The local Boy Scouts from troop #596 will be selling hot dogs, polish sausage and walking tacos for all to enjoy. Stop by and buy a treat, they all taste pretty darn good too! Remember to check-out Kathleen's Halloween Craft Sale for some inexpensive decorations you can put around your house. HAPPY HALLOWEEN
