We know that many of you may have questions or concerns about Influenza (Flu) and how we as a community will be working together to promote the health and safety of our residents. As you know this year is unique in that we will be facing both the normal Seasonal Flu and the continued presence of H1N1 (previously known as the Swine Flu) during much of this flu season.
On 5 August 2009 representatives of the Village of Oak Lawn and all of our schools met and developed a common plan to address the tracking of Flu related illness and preparations for the offering the H1N1 vaccine. We would like you to be aware of our efforts and will be providing you with regular updates as more detailed information becomes available. Please monitor the Emergency Preparedness Tab on the Village web page and follow Oak Lawn Emergency Management Agency on the FACEBOOK and TWITTER. You will find valuable information and videos on Flu prevention and preparedness efforts you can take to keep you and your family well this Flu season.
