Yard Waste Guidelines


YARD WASTE

April 1st to November 30th of Every Year

• Landscape waste includes grass clippings, leaves, garden waste flowers, twigs, brush and tree limbs less than 4” in diameter and not longer than 4’ in length.

• Brush or branches are to be properly contained, bagged or bundled and tied, so that one person can safely load it into the truck.

All stone and dirt must be removed from shrubs and brush for composting.


ACCEPTABLE YARD WASTE CONTAINERS

• Yard waste containers – heavy plastic or metal cans no larger than 33 gallons and not weighting more than 60 lbs. or reinforced 33-Gallon Kraft paper bags.

YARD WASTE WILL NOT BE ACCPETED IN PLASTIC BAGS.


PLACEMENT OF CONTAINERS

• Yard waste containers must be identified with “YARD WASTE” STICKERS. Stickers must be facing the street or alley for pick-up.

LEAF COLLECTION

• Residents may use the leaf bags or kraft paper bags for leaf disposal from October 15th to December 15th each year. They may not be used for regular yard waste such as grass clippings, etc.
