Solid Waste Guidelines


GARBAGE CONTAINERS

• 96-Gallon Navy Blue Toter.

• Alternatively, garbage may be placed in heavy plastic or metal cans no larger than 33 gallons not weighting more than 60 lbs. All garbage must be properly contained in closed containers.

• In addition, one large bulk item per week (i.e.: chair, sofa, mattress, or carpeting cut in 4ft. lengths rolled and tied) may be placed out for collection.

• Tires, appliances and white goods will be collected free of charge. To schedule a pick-up for these items, or items not listed, please call Veolia at (708) 409-9700.

• Senior citizens that qualify for senior discount may opt for a smaller 64-gallon refuse cart. See Senior Discount for eligibility.

MATERIALS NOT ACCEPTED

• Auto parts, large construction waste, swimming pools, decks, sheds, chemicals, paints, drums or garbage in containers other than described above.


ALL REFUSE, YARD WASTE AND RECYCLING MUST BE OUT BY 5:30 A.M. ON THE DAY OF COLLECTION OLY.
