The Police Department announces:

The Business Notification Program

The Business Notification Program is designed to facilitate the exchange of information between the Police Department and businesses regarding emerging criminal patterns and trends, specific suspicious persons and entities to watch, recently targeted businesses and crimes that have occurred both inside and outside local businesses, and general warnings and advice based on the Department's most recent experiences and information.

The available information goes beyond what affects retail businesses only and includes general crimes, such as robbery, assault, battery, purse snatchings, fraud, scams, and property and vehicle crimes.

As part of the implementation of its program, the Department has prepared a Business Notification Sign-Up form which should be completed by all business owners and returned to the Department.

Once completed, the participating business will receive periodic appropriate notifications by fax.

To sign up and participate in this program, please call either the Oak Lawn Police Department's Bureau of Special Services phone number (708) 499-7880 or their fax (708) 499-7839 to obtain a sign-up form.
